This policy explains what data RokadBook collects, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
Your mobile number (verified via OTP). You may optionally add your name, email address and business name in your profile.
Business Records
Cash entries, remarks, categories, amounts and dates you add to your Rokad Books. This data is yours and is never shared with third parties.
Device & Usage Data
Anonymous device information (OS version, app version) and usage analytics to improve the app. This data cannot identify you personally.
Payment Information
If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card or bank details on our servers.

3. Data Sharing
No Sale of Data
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. Your financial records are only shared with team members you explicitly invite.
Service Providers
Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, push notifications. MSG91 — OTP delivery via SMS. Razorpay — subscription payment processing (they have their own privacy policy).
Legal Requirements
We may disclose data if required by Indian law or a valid government order. We will notify you where legally permitted.
4. Data Security
All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Your books are stored in Google Firebase with industry-standard security controls. We follow OWASP best practices in our backend API. Access to production data is restricted to authorised engineering staff only.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data and business records are permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable Indian law.
6. Your Rights

7. Children's Privacy
RokadBook is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately at support@rokadbook.in.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. When significant changes are made, we will notify you via an in-app notification at least 7 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of RokadBook after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
